Two policemen die in accident; body found

FATEHJANG, June 3: Two police constables died in road accident near Sadkal village, some two kilometres from here on Sunday.

According to sources, Sajid and Kamran Talib were going to Attock on a motorbike when they faced the accident due to speeding. Both died on the spot. Police handed over the bodies to their relatives.

Meanwhile, the Fatehjang police found the body of a man near the bank of Shahpur Dam.

The police said on receiving information from locals they recovered the body of a 26-year-old man whose throat had been slashed, showing that he was slaughtered and his body was thrown near the dam.

Later, the victim was buried at a local graveyard after the body was not claimed by anyone.

The Fatehjang police have registered a case and are probing the incident.

TWO INJURED: Two brothers were injured by their village fellows in Shahra-i-Saadullah area falling in the Fatehjang police limits.

Mohammad Yaseen told the police that he and his brother Allah Dita were allegedly attacked by Ejaz and his son Sadaqat armed with axe and wooden stick over a dispute relating to supply of water for irrigation purposes.

As a result, they sustained injuries and were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters hospital, Fatehjang.—Correspondent
