LAHORE, June 3: Fancied gelding Zanjeer proved himself a good sprinter when he landed the feature event, Hyderabad Plate, a class four division I and II combined handicap race, ran over 1000 metres during Day/Night Lahore Summer Meeting at the Racecourse on Sunday.

Chestnut colt Tyson, who was the second favourite, finished second, six lengths behind while Little Legend and Blu's Wendy completed the frame.

Earlier, First Dream, a joint favourite with Royal Palace, came from behind to beat front-runner Royal Palace by half a length in a closely contested race.
Jockey Shahid Rehman had a profitable day riding home three winners, Simbi, Don't Follow and Zanjeer in the alternate events, the second, fourth and sixth races.
