ISLAMABAD, May 14: A Saudi relief organization has prepared another aid package worth about $0.8 million for students of the earthquake-hit areas. A spokesman of the Saudi Public Assistance for Pakistan Earthquake Victims (SPAPEV) told Dawn that the assistance would be in the form of school materials which is, primarily, meant for the students of the areas devastated by the killer earthquake of October 2005.

About sixty truckloads of these materials will be dispatched to Muzzafarabad and Bagh districts in a couple of days where they will be handed over to Read Foundation for distribution among students.

At least 22,000 school children including girls and boys from primary to matric level will benefit from it. Each of the 22000 students will be provided bags, stationery books, two sets of uniforms and other essential materials used for educational purposes so that they could continue their studies without any financial burden.

Since October 2005, the SPAPEV has distributed over 1000 truckloads of relief goods among the quake victims of Bagh, Muzaffarabad, Mansehra and Balakot.
