LAHORE, May 14: The long-awaited AFC President Cup football tournament has been postponed. According to a press release issued by the Pakistan Football Federation the decision has been taken by the Asian Football Confederation and the PFF due to some unavoidable circumstances.

There are reports that the declining political situation in the country caused the postponement.

The tournament was to be held at Punjab Stadium from May 17.
