KHAIRPUR, May 12: Tension gripped of Tando Masti Khan and Ahmedpur after a man was killed in a clash between Phulpoto and Mari communities on Friday night.

Mr Gulzar was seriously injured in the clash and died on his way to hospital. His body was handed over to relatives after post-mortem.

Police have filed a case against Khanpur union council nazim Fazal Mari and a number of other people.Later, on May 10, some armed men opened fire on Wali Mohammad Mari, an influential person of Mari community and father of Fazal Mari in the area of B-section police station.

Wali Mohammad Mari had lodged a case at the B-section police station against eight people of Phulpoto community, including Ghulam Hyder Phulpoto and seven others.

According to Ghulam Hyder Phulpoto police were responsible for the tension because PML-N activists and Phulpoto community held a demonstration on the National Highway on April 22, demanding arrest of the nominated accused in the murder of his brother.
