KARACHI, May 4: The selection camps for recruitment in Pakistan Army would be held in all union councils of Malir, said Town Nazim Ansar Ahmed Sheikh on Friday.

He was talking to Major Riaz of Pakistan Army, who met him at his office here.

Major Riaz asked the town nazim for holding selection camps in the town for recruitment of youth in army.

Dispelling the impression that army was an institution of a single community, he said people from every part of the country should join army. He said there was no prejudice in army and dispelled the wrong perception that created distance between people and army.

The army officer said they would try their best to recruit Malir youth so that they might safeguard the country besides raising living standard of their families.

The youth from across country, especially from Karachi should join Pakistan Army, he said and viewed that Town Nazims could play active role in this regard.

The official explained that youth with age between 17 and 23 years and having matriculation certificate could join the army, while further information could be obtained by visiting official website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.

He urged the nazim to send registration lists of candidates after their attestation by the town and UC nazims.

Ansar Ahmed assured him of his full cooperation and said the camps would be held in each union council of the town.

Naib Town Nazim Sharafat Ali, UC Nazims, Naib Nazims and councillors were also present.
