DERA ISAMIL KHAN, May 3: Local administrations lifted curfew in the Dera Ismail Khan city and Parachinar on Thursday.

The decision to lift the curfew in the Dera Ismail Khan city was taken after consultation of police, local administration and the peace committee. However, the ban on pillion riding in the city is still in place.

Police have reportedly started arresting elements involved in terrorist activities, including some religious leaders.

In Parachinar, the curfew imposed by the political administration on April 6 was lifted, but the show of weapons is still banned.
