LAHORE, April 29: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expecting to receive a memorandum of understanding (MoU) from the Abu Dhabi Cricket Council (ADCC) on Monday after which next month's three-match proposed ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka would be finalised.

PCB cricket operations director Zakir Khan told Dawn the organisers (ADCC) were putting in great effort to get a suitable financial package for the series and after seeking viable sponsorship, details of the series would be decided.

He said Sri Lanka had already confirmed their participation in the series.

“I am in contact with Sri Lankan cricket authorities and they are also waiting for the final green signal from the organisers.”

When asked if all arrangements could be completed on time as the series was to start from May 10, Zakir sprang a surprise saying there were no fixed dates for the series.

“There are only proposed dates. Exact dates will be negotiated after receiving the MoU."

He said the ongoing training camp had served a good purpose for the new selection committee to observe players’ form and fitness.
