Line burst disrupts gas supply

Published April 30, 2007

KASUR, April 29: Gas supply to at least 200 houses remained suspended for about seven hours in kot Peera and its adjacent area and at Khara road when the main pipeline burst on Sunday.

Reports said the pipeline at the Rohi nullah bridge caught fire due to unknown reasons. The fire was put out after about three-hour effort. An SNGPL official said the supply would be restored soon after pipeline repair. He said it was damaged by labourers when they were laying water pipes. — Correspondent
