Prisoner escapes

BAHAWALPUR, April 28: An under-trial prisoner involved in abduction of lawyer Yahya Khan and murder of another person escaped from the police custody here on Saturday.

Reports said that accused Shehzad alias Sajin was brought to the district courts for his production in a court. He was kept in the judicial lock-up from where he managed to flee after removing his handcuffs. Police sources claimed that the accused was got freed by three unidentified motorcyclists, who threw chilli into the eyes of police guards.
