British woman kidnapped

By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, April 26: A British woman of Pakistan origin was kidnapped from Chaklala Housing Scheme on Wednesday night.

Police said Sarina, wife of Zeeshan, had come to Pakistan to attend a marriage ceremony of one of her relatives. On Wednesday night, her father dropped her at a beauty parlour in Chaklala Housing Scheme. However, when he returned to pick her at about 9.30pm, the owner of the beauty parlour told him that his daughter had already gone.

After failing to find a clue to Sarina, her father contacted the Airport police.

Station house officer (SHO) of the Airport police, Inspector Faryad Hussain, told Dawn that they had started a search for the missing woman.

He said the parents of the woman had received a telephone call from the kidnappers. However, he gave no further details.
