Workers urged to re-organise ANP

PESHAWAR, April 25: Awami National Party’s provincial president Afrasiab Khattak has urged party workers to re-organise the party at the grassroots level.

Addressing the party’s provincial cabinet on Wednesday, he said the party’s leaders would visit villages and union councils and spread the message of Abdul Ghaffar Khan.

Mr Khattak said the ANP was defending the Pakhtuns’ rights, adding that several party’s workers had sacrificed their lives for the cause. A press release issued by ANP’s provincial secretary-general Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that the party’s district cadre had been asked to furnish their recommendations to the provincial council.
