5 kidnapped children freed

KHAR, April 24: Political authorities on Tuesday recovered five kidnapped children with the help of a tribal jirga from Odigram locality in Salarzai tehsil of the Bajaur Agency.

The children had been recently kidnapped from Siddiqabad area.

The boys were sons of two tribal elders Malik Abdul Aziz and Haji Sher Khan.

The administration came into action soon after the kidnapping and formed a tribal jirga to negotiate their release.

According to officials, the jirga after holding successful negotiations with the kidnappers secured the release of the children.

The identity of the kidnappers could not be known.

The reason behind the kidnapping could not be ascertained.
