TOBA TEK SINGH, April 24: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Husain has said that his party will take out a historic rally in Punjab to condemn what he said forced enforcement of Shariah by clerics of Jamia Hafsa and other religious extremists.
Addressing Kamalia workers on Monday night from London by telephone, he said the exact date to the effect would be announced shortly.
He claimed that MQM was gaining popularity among the people of Punjab as it was the only political party which was giving due importance and respect to poor political workers.
He said MQM would eliminate feudalism after coming into power and award party tickets to poor workers in general elections.
Kamalia MQM leaders Yaseen Insari and Sardar Zia Dogar were also present on the occasion. — Correspondent
