NAWABSHAH: Police move against kidnappers, pick up 21

NAWABSHAH, April 24: The Nawabshah police swung into action and arrested 21 people from Jamshoro district in connection with the kidnapping of a trader and his friend on Tuesday.

According to sources, a heavy contingent of Nawabshah police raided Lundabad village and the nearby kutcha area in Jamshoro district to arrest bandit Ali Bux Lund and Ghulam Rasool Machhi. The police could not find them but picked up 21 suspects.

When contacted, SP Investigation of Nawabshah, Syed Ghayasuddin Rashidi, confirmed that raids were conducted in Jamshoro for recovery of Ashok Kumar and Saleem Solangi. However, he refused to give further details.

DEMO: Residents of Ghazi Khan Hoath Village staged a demonstration outside the office of the Superintending Engineer of Hesco against suspension of electricity here on Tuesday. They shouted slogans against Hesco.

They told journalists that transformer of their village developed fault three days back. They said that they lodged several complaints to Hesco officials but in vain.
