Match officials for semis named

KINGSTON, April 23: International Cricket Council (ICC) has named South African Mike Procter and New Zealand's Jeff Crowe as match referees for semi-finals of ongoing World Cup.

While Procter will oversee first semi-final between New Zealand and Sri Lanka at Sabina Park on Tuesday, Crowe will be in charge of second semi-final between Australia and South Africa at St Lucia on Wednesday.

The on-field umpire for first semi-final will be South Africa's Rudi Koertzen and Australian Simon Taufel.

Australia's Daryl Harper will be third umpire for match, while his Pakistani counterpart Asad Rauf will be fourth.

Meanwhile, second semi-final will be officiated by Pakistan's Aleem Dar and West Indian Steve Bucknor as on-field umpires, while Kiwi Billy Bowden and England's Mark Benson will be third and fourth umpire respectively. However, appointments for the final will be made later.—Agencies
