Vital BZU Senate meet

MULTAN, April 23: After 15 years, the sixth senate meeting of the Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Multan, was held on Monday. Dr Muhammad Zaffarullah, vice chancellor, presided over the meeting.

The meeting settled maters pertaining to teachers, officers, students and other employees.

The meeting approved the procedure of appointment and move-over of university officers and staff, the procedure of appointments, promotions and other matters of assistant librarians and deputy librarians.

The meeting also discussed syllabi of Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy of various departments. The senate approved a resolution thanking the prime minister for promoting university teachers. The participants also welcomed the appointment of Dr Zaffarullah as vice chancellor of BZU.—Correspondent
