KARACHI, April 23: The United Baloch Organisation, Malir, has called for granting due rights to the Baloch population of Malir and Lyari.

In a statement issued here on Monday, representatives of the organization, Akhtar Jan Baloch and Ghulam Akbar Baloch, said that Baloch people living in Karachi had always been victims of injustice and remained deprived of their due rights. They deplored that a large number of Baloch youths were jobless due to discrimination.

They pointed out that no Baloch youth was being welcomed to work in the factories located along Super Highway and National Highway.

In Malir and Lyari, they said, the Baloch population was facing water shortage, non-availability of public transport and other amenities.

They said their community members were also being ejected from their ancestral lands, which was being given to the people hailing from other provinces.
