KARACHI, April 21: Test discard Asim Kamal was unlucky to miss a century by five runs as Pentangular Cup champions Habib Bank engineered a fine recovery to reach 315 against NWFP-Balochistan on the first day of the last-round fixture at the NBP Sports Complex here on Saturday.
The left-hander’s 95 saw the bankers made an excellent comeback after the first five wickets had gone for 95 runs once skipper Hasan Raza elected to bat first.
Apart from Asim, wicket-keeper Humayun Farhat (56) and Sajid Shah (44 not out) also made telling contributions.
By close of play, the combined regional side replied with 14 for one.
