Published April 22, 2007

SHEIKHUPURA, April 21: In a rare incident, a woman accused in an abduction case managed to escape from the judicial lock-up of a Ferozewala court on Saturday.

Reports said the accused, Zanib Bibi, was brought by a police party, led by sub-inspector Khan Muhammad, from Sheikhupura jail for production in the court.

After appearing in the court, she was brought to bakhshi khana (lock-up) along with other prisoners. But, the woman somehow managed to cheat the police guarding the lock-up and disappeared.
