LAYYAH, April 21: A 13-year-old girl was kidnapped and allegedly raped by her neighbour.

Misbah of Bhai Sadhu Ram, a class seven student, told newsmen on Saturday that her neighbour Khurshid Bibi came to her house in the evening last week and invited her to see the video film of a marriage ceremony at her home. While she was watching the film, Khurshid’s brother Shoaib came there and asked his sister to prepare tea for some guests. Khurshid also served her tea and she fell asleep after taking tea.

She said when she regained senses, she found herself in a car along with Khurshid, Shoaib and their uncle Mahboob. Her hands were tied with a rope. They threatened her with dire consequences if she raised an alarm, she added.

Shoaib booked two rooms in a hotel in Multan. Mahboob and Khurshid stayed in one room and Shoaib took her to the other room where he raped her.

She said next day they took her to Karachi by bus. At the bus stand she saw her uncle who resided in Karachi. She waved to him and the three left her as they saw her uncle coming towards them.

A doctor at the Kot Sultan Rural Health Centre examined Misbah.

Kot Sultan police have registered a case against the accused on the report of her father Khadim.

Khadim told journalists that he was not satisfied with police investigation as the accused were rich and influential people.

He demanded of the Punjab IGP to entrust the investigation to the crime branch.
