PESHAWAR: Kidnapped man recovered

PESHAWAR, April 21: The capital city police on Saturday recovered a man who was kidnapped one-and-a-half-month ago in Surizai area in Peshawar.

The man, Zafir Gul, son of Nazir Gul, was kidnapped on March 8.

Capital City Police Chief Abdul Majeed Marwat taking notice of the matter formed a raiding team.

The team conducted raids on various places in search of the kidnapped person and the kidnappers released him due to increasing police pressure.

The capital city police chief announced commendation certificates for police officers for safe recovery of the kidnapped man.

Meanwhile, the capital city police in a timely action arrested an accused along with arms while trying to rob a taxi driver on Saturday.—APP
