KARACHI, April 20: National Transport Ittehad (NTI), Karachi chapter, has asked the officials concerned to pay attention to the problems of transporters and redress their grievances.

NTI Chairman Salim Khan Bangash has said that his organisation has no association with the Pukhtoon Action Committee and other ethnic groups. He demanded of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan to solve the problems of transporters.

He also pointed out that scores of vehicles were hired by police for the April 15 rally, but the outstanding amounts were not paid to them as yet.

He said that if compensation was not paid immediately, transporters would have no other option but to observe protest demonstrations.
