Lal, Fahad hit centuries in national clubs cricket
KARACHI, April 18: Lal Kumar and Fahad Iqbal smashed centuries to enable their respective teams to win their games in the Karachi Region PCB National Inter Club Cricket Championship here on Wednesday.
Lal made a superb unbeaten 115 off 114 balls with six fours and two sixes as Ravi Gymkhana beat Hamdam Cricket Club by 88 runs at the PCB Academy ground. Batting first, Ravi Gymkhana scored 223-6 in 40 overs. Hamdam CC, in response, were bundled out for 135 with Mohammad Ilyas and Imran Ali taking three wickets each.
Meanwhile, Rafiq Sherazi Memorial Cricket Club thrashed Malir Cantonment at the TMC Ground by 104 runs despite a six-wicket haul from Malir Cantonment’s Kashan Raheel. Nadir Ansari hit a match-winning 88 with nine fours.
In another match, Fahad Iqbal hammered a 123-ball 115 with six boundaries and three sixes in Mohammad Hussain Cricket Club's seven-wicket win against Dawood Sports at the KCCA Stadium.
In the meantime, Sohail Khan claimed five wickets and Mansoor Ali hit a sparkling 92 off 96 balls with 11 boundaries and Sajid Qureshi made 77 with 12 boundaries as Korangi Friends routed Punjab Cricket Club by seven wickets at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground.
