Lawyers’ rally today

LAHORE, April 17: Lawyers will hold a rally on Wednesday (today) besides observing a complete strike when the Supreme Judicial Council resumes hearing into the reference against the nonfunctional chief justice of Pakistan.

All lawyers’ bodies of Punjab had already announced that they would hold rally to protest against the ‘suspension’ of Justice Chaudhry on each day of the hearing into the reference.

The high court bar and Lahore bar associations said they would hold the rally on The Mall.

PU teachers: The Punjab University Academic Staff Association has decided to observe a black day on the university campus on Wednesday (today) to show solidarity with the nonfunctional chief justice of Pakistan and the lawyers community.
