KARACHI: Sobho to get Jalib Award

KARACHI, April 17: The Habib Jalib Memorial Committee has decided to confer Habib Jalib Amn (peace) Award every year on a personality having made distinguished contributions towards the betterment of society.

The first award will be presented to eminent progressive intellectual and writer Sobho Giyanchandani on April 30.

According to an official statement, the memorial committee will organise a public meeting on April 30 at the Karachi Press Club on the 14th death anniversary of the renowned Urdu poet in which the first Peace Award will be presented to Mr Giyanchandani.
