KARACHI: Rahul’s words eye-opener, says MMA

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, April 17: The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, referring to the remarks by Indian ruling party member Rahul Gandhi, said on Tuesday that the Pakistani rulers should no more be conciliatory towards India and chalk out policies which were in the Pakistan’s interest.

In a statement, MMA legislators Mohammad Hussain Mahenti and Laeeq Khan said that Mr Gandhi’s utterances regarding his family’s role in dismembering Pakistan should make Pakistan’s rulers sit up. They criticised that Pakistan had been going out of its way to pursue policies dictated by the US.

They said that the military rulers by taking a U-turn on Kashmir policy had betrayed Kashmiris.

The MMA leaders also expressed concern over a further increase in ghee prices and rejected the government’s contentions in this regards.
