US interference in Pakistan affairs criticised

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, April 16: The general secretary of the NWFP chapter of the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf, Shah Farman, has condemned America and some bordering countries for meddling in the internal affairs of Pakistan, particularly at a time when the country is facing judicial and constitutional crises.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Shah Farman said that no country would be allowed to pressurise Pakistan on the issues that emerged after filing of the presidential reference against ‘non-functional’ Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

“The needless pressure putting America on Pakistan will harm it,” he said.

PTI information secretary Iqbal Afridi was present on the occasion.

The PTI leader said that General Musharraf’s policies had put the country’s future at stake and damaged its image at the international level.
