KARACHI, April 16: Five ships carrying containers, chemicals and to load naphtha are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 14 vessels were berthed during the last two days, notable among them being Asian Leader to offload cars and Red Sea Spirit to load cement. Others were with containers and some of them were signaled to sail out after loading and unloading cargoes.

Sailing was on the higher side as a dozen ships including Orient Independence, Bunga Terasek, E.R. Perth, Asian Leader, Shalamar, Reliance Ocean, Hao Path-2, Pacific Arrow, Lauren and Lynx.

Five ships, Gallant Wave, BSI E. Prestige, Pononikis, MOL Ability and Johar are due to sail out on Tuesday.

The cargo volume handled during the last two days amounted to 0.202 million tons comprising 57,599 tons of export cargo including 9,165 tons of cement and 698 tons of wheat.

The following ships are due on Tuesday; Sinar Agra, with chemicals, Chem Baltic, to load naphtha, APL Yokohama, Hyundai Future and MOL Silver Fern, with containers.
