Workshop on tax reforms

ISLAMABAD, April 14: The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) will hold a two-day national conference on the steps taken so far as part of the Tax Administration Reforms Programme (TARP).

A CBR announcement said on Saturday that the conference, to be held in Karachi on May 3, would update internal and external stakeholders on the progress and achievements of the reform process.

The participants (approximately 1000) of the conference will be top leadership of the business and trade industry/trade bodies. The event will apprise the progress and achievements of TARP and build a platform to discuss and evaluate the problems of corporate sector towards the taxation system and implement a trade and business friendly tax policy, thus creating an atmosphere of mutual trust between the taxpayer and tax collector.
