KARACHI, April 13: The Fishermen Co-operative Societies Employees Union (FCSEU) has expressed annoyance at the delay in payment of various funds to employees who have retired and asked for an early solution of their problems.

A union official said that one employee died and ten others retired in January 2006.

However, they were still visiting the officials’ offices to get their various funds.

General Secretary Saeed Baloch said the retired persons have no other source of income and they were facing serious financial problems.

He said the officials were not signing the provident funds cheques.

He said gratuity and the provident funds were the basic right of the employees and should be paid without delay.
