KARACHI, April 11: The leaders of Karachi Electric Supply Corporation Workers Union (KESCWU) have expressed concern at the termination of services of contract employees and termed it an unjust act on the part of the management.

They said permanent employees were also not getting their due rights for almost a decade.

The leaders said to date the services of 27 persons had been terminated and they had received no allowance to feed their children.

The KESCWU asked the utility’s chief executive officer to regularise the services of the contract employees.

They said all permanent staff be given their rights which, they said, had not been paid for the last nine years.

They also demanded an end to the termination of services of employees. They also opposed the posting of private security staff in the KESC security department. —A Reporter
