LAHORE, April 10: Robbers stole cash and valuables worth a million from a trader’s shop and house while cash and cell phones were also looted in eight other strikes on Tuesday.
Four robbers looted cash and valuables worth over a million from the shop and house of a shopkeeper in the Samanabad area on Tuesday.
Four gunmen came to the Malik Shop of Malik Saeed, held employees and Mr Saeed hostage and looted Rs100,000 from them. After that, the robbers holding Saeed at gunpoint entered his house, next to the shop, and collected cash, jewellery and other valuables worth Rs1.1 million and fled from the scene. Police registered a case.
Two robbers stopped an employee of a factory at Hamdard Chowk in Green Town and looted Rs200,000 from him. The name of the victim could not be ascertained.
Two armed people stopped Waqas at Main Market in Ghalib Market and deprived him of Rs50,000 and a cell phone.
Two gunmen looted Rs10,000 and a cell phone from a man, whose name could not be ascertained, at Batti Chowk in Shafeeqabad.
Another unidentified citizen was deprived of Rs80,000 and a cell phone by two robbers in the Sarwar Road area.
Robbers looted Rs500 and a cell phone from Imran in Islampura.
Two gunmen stormed into a pharmacy in Township and looted thousands and a cell phone.
Two robbers came to a kiln in Herbanspura and snatched Rs8,000 and a cell phone from its owner.
Five robbers snatched Rs25,000 and a cell phone from Kamran near Surraya Azeem Hospital in the Lytton Road area. gangs busted: Sherakot and South Cantonment investigation police claimed on Tuesday to have arrested nine members of two gangs and recovered looted valuables besides illegal weapons from them.
