KARACHI: Police officers asked to control crimes


KARACHI, April 9: Capital City Police Officer of Karachi Azhar Ali Farooqi on Monday visited the Gulberg town police office and had a detailed briefing on the crime situation in the jurisdiction of the police stations concerned.

Reviewing the crime situation, the CCPO took serious notice of crimes in the Azizabad, Gulberg and Jauharabad police stations and asked the officials to work hard to control crimes.

He directed them that, on the basis of analysis of crimes, deploy an efficient police force at points where crimes were committed in a greater number besides continued mobile and motorcycle patrolling.

He also stressed taking preventive measures for effective check on crimes. He said that strict watch should be kept on the movement of suspicious elements and the suspects be protectively interrogated in advance. He said crimes could be checked before their commissioning if proper interrogation was carried out.

Later, the CCPO visited various areas of the Azizabad police station and issued necessary instructions to the police officers to adopt effective strategy to cope with crimes and the same be implemented immediately.—APP
