KARACHI, April 9: Seven ships carrying general cargo, containers and to load cement are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where 14 ships including Nafto Cement-11 and Diamond Progress to load cement, Grand Venus to offload cars and Liberty Spirit to offload wheat were berthed.

Sailing was also active as 10 vessels, Rising One, Oel Victory, Kou Cheng, Wan Ha-311, Victoria, Grand Venus, Cma Cgm Simba, Haley Madhi, Kama Bhum and Cosco Lian Yun Chang departed on Sunday.

Half a dozen others, including PAC Antlia, Noni, Westermoor, MOL Admiration, Oel Aishwarya and Shanghai Pride are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 0.158m tons comprising 69,519 tons of export including 6,453 tons of rice, 18,920 tons of clinker and 8,509 tons of cement and 88,666 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: APL Brisbane, Conti Esperance, Iran Hesabi with containers, Lady Sama and Pacific Arrow to load 5,000 and 10,000 tons of cement respectively, Bao Qing Men and Zhong Yang Men with general cargo.
