THATTA: Political structure crumbling, says JSQM chief

By Our Correspondent

THATTA, April 8: Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Basheer Khan Qureshi, has claimed that Sindh would definitely get its due rights as the country's political structure was crumbling and coming to its logical.

Responding to journalists’ questions at Pathan Colony, on Right Bank of the Indus on Thatta-Sujawal highway on Sunday afternoon, the JSQM chief contended that promises of real democracy, provincial autonomy and claims of considering Sindh’s problems and restoration of its legitimate rights were an attempt to give “lollypops” to Sindhis.

He said the Sindhis had already rejected to live within the framework of Pakistan and their wish and will was bound to materialise through their ongoing struggle as well as due to misdeeds of rulers.

He said since independence, Sindhis were enslaved in the name of Islam and Pakistan and they would never accept the domination of Punjabis.

He said today millions of Sindhis were hit by unemployment, poverty and illiteracy and dozens of political activists were still missing and a number of them were languishing in jails for raising their voice for the motherland.

He said the Paigham-e-Sindh march was fully responded by the people of Sindh and his party had succeeded in communicating its massage throughout the province. He foresaw a positive outcome of his struggle.

Earlier, participants of Paigham Sindh caravan were warmly welcomed on arrival at Sujawal town in early hours of Sunday. Great poet of "Laar", Sarwaich Sujawali, poetess Apa Mariam Majidi, PPP-SB leader Yunus Bhan and a large number of people received the participants of the march and offered them flowers. Addressing a big gathering in Sujawal town, JSQM chairman said his party with the support of Sindhi people would continue to fight for the rights of Sindh at the cost of their lives. Niaz Kalani, Imdad Mangi, Mariam Majidi, Younus Bhan and others also spoke on the occasion.

Hundreds of Paigham-e-Sindh participants were heading towards Thatta town and expected to reach there late on Sunday night.
