KARACHI, April 8: The sectarian tension in Parachinar is a conspiracy against the nation and country, said speakers at a rally here on Sunday.

Participants of the rally marched from the Old Numaish Chowrangi to Tibet Centere on M. A. Jinnah Road. It was organised by the Imamia Students Organisation.

Maulana Quratul Ain, Maulana Hussain Masoodi, Allama Aftab Haider, Maulana Shahanshah Naqvi and others, speaking on the occasion, said that the enemies of the Ummah wanted to divide it on sectarian lines to weaken the Muslim world.

They said that an attack on Iran would be considered as an attack on the Muslim Ummah. They warned that if the US and its allies attacked Iran, they would face dire consequences. They welcomed the stance of the OIC and the Arab League on the issue of a possible US attack on Iran.

They demanded that the US leave Iraq and Afghanistan. They warned that Iraq and Afghanistan would prove to be the graveyards of the occupation forces. They also expressed solidarity with the Palestinians.

A large number of people, including women and children, participated in the rally. -- PPI
