Pakistan lead 2-1

KARACHI, April 7: Pakistan surged 2-1 ahead against Pacific Oceania in the Davis Cup Asia Oceania Zone group II relegation playoff when they claimed the doubles event at National Tennis Centre, Apia, Samoa, on Saturday, according to information made available here from Pacific Oceania. Country’s top player Aqeel Khan pairing with Shahzad Khan struggled to beat Brett Baudinet/West Nott 5-7, 7-6(6), 6-7 (5), 7-5, 6-3 in the absorbing battle which went to full distance.
