Phones, cash taken away

LAHORE, April 7: Robbers deprived citizens of thousands of rupees and their cell-phones in several strikes they made in the city on Saturday. Three robbers deprived a citizen of Rs40,000 and a cell-phone on the Hall Road.

Two gun-totting people burst into a general store in Green Town area and took away Rs20,000 and a cell-phone at gunpoint.

An outlaw snatched Rs2,400 and a cell-phone from one Abdul Kahliq of Kot Pir Abdul Rehman street in Herbanspura.

Similarly, two robbers deprived a citizen of Rs10,000 and a cell-phone at Khokhar Chowk in Township.

One Yaseen was deprived of Rs1,000 and a cell-phone in Herbanspura, while Ashaiq was deprived of his cell-phone in Township.

Two robbers stopped a passer-by at Liaqat Chowk in Sabzazar and deprived him of cash and cell-phone while another snatched a cell-phone from a citizen on Juwaiay Shah Road in Sanda.

Two gun-totting people snatched a cell-phone from Abbas in Model Town.

STOLEN: Thieves drove away a family van (LEB-3906) of Khalid Majeed from Shama Plaza in Ichra.

A car was driven away from Ghaziabad, while five motorcycles were stolen from Old Anarkali, Shahdra, Sabzazar, Misrishah and Qilla Gujjar Singh areas.
