PESHAWAR, April 7: University of Peshawar Vice-Chancellor Dr Haroon Rashid has said that university teachers will be given handsome remunerations, laptops and other lucrative incentives in order to improve the overall academic atmosphere on the campus.

He said the supervisors of PhD and MPhil scholars would also be given remunerations to ensure quality research in the days to come.

The vice-chancellor was talking to deans of faculties, principals of the constituent

colleges, directors of centres, heads of departments and administrative sections at the conference hall of Sir Sahibzada Abdul Qayum Museum, University of Peshawar, here on Saturday.

He said the university would be soon switched over to the four-year integrated course and semester system in order to meet needs of the hour.—APP
