Army officer shot, injured by rivals

ISLAMABAD, April 6: A personal staff officer of the Murree station commander was shot and injured by his rivals here on Friday, the police said. Maj Gulzar Gulfraz was intercepted by his opponents, including Gul Abbas, in Sunjgalnia area located in the jurisdiction of the Bhara Kahu police station.

He received two bullets when the rivals opened fire on him. On hearing the gunshots, local people reached the spot and shifted the army officer to the Federal Government Services Hospital in critical condition.

Maj Gulfraz was being operated upon till filling of this report.

According to the police said he had an enmity with his relatives over a piece of land.
