RAWALPINDI, April 5: A hoax bomb call created panic among the students at one of the leading private schools located on the busy Peshawar Road here on Wednesday. Soon after the start of classes at 8.20am, the unidentified caller said a bomb had been planted in the school, adding “you have one hour to take remedial measures.”

On receiving the information, civil and military bomb disposal squads and Rescue 15 rushed to the campus of Froebels International School and searched the premises for two hours and later cleared it from the presence of any bomb.

The students who were shifted to a nearby safe place by their teachers returned to classes when the premises was declared safe. On hearing the news, a number of parents rushed to the school to pick up their children. According to the school management, the call has been traced and police were investigating.— A Reporter
