KARACHI: Education exhibition begins at Expo Centre
KARACHI, April 4: The 17th Pakistan International Education Exhibition began at the Karachi Expo Centre here on Wednesday. The Consul General of China in Karachi, Chen Shan Min, inaugurated the two-day show being held under the auspices of the World Learning Bureau, which said that over 150 educational institutions from within the country and abroad were participating in the exhibition. Academic institutions of China are also taking part in the event for the first time.
The stalls of Chinese educational institutions attracted quite a big number of students and their parents as study, boarding and lodging in China is less expensive than in other major countries.
It was noted that more and more Pakistani youngsters were keen to pursue their higher studies in Britain, Ireland and several other countries having stalls at the exhibition. A conference was also held on the occasion.—APP
