Two killed in separate incidents

ATTOCK: April 3: Two persons were killed in separate incidents during the last twenty-four hours, police said on Tuesday.

Muhammad Afzal of village Qutbal reported to the Fatehjang police that his rivals Usman, Rehmat, Muhammad Raziq and Masood entered his house and took him along with his brother Shaukat and cousin Muhammad Sajjad to a nearby village and kept them in a house in chains.

The next morning, when the kidnappers came to the house Shaukat criticised their highhandedness. On this, they shot him dead. Later, they also demolished their house and fled.

The motive behind the incident was stated to be a lingering land dispute.

Meanwhile, a PAC employee was killed in a road accident, the police said.

Ghulam Yousuf was crossing the road near Moti Masjid on Kamra road when a speeding pickup knocked him down, killing him on the spot. The Kamra cantonment police have registered a case against the pickup driver identified as Mulazimullah, a resident of Kamra.

WOMAN INJURED: A woman was axed and injured by her neighbour in Dakhnair village in the jurisdiction of the Attock Khurd police.

Ms Bibi of village Daknair reported to the police that she was attacked by her neighbour Ms Jan over a house construction dispute. As a result, she sustained injures and was taken to hospital.

VEHICLES LIFTED: A car belonging to Liaquat Ali Khan, a resident of Gulsher in Basal police area, and a tractor of Abdul Khaliq of village Khuda were stolen, the police said.

FOUR OUTLAWS HELD: The Attock police have arrested four outlaws and recovered stolen items.

The Gondal police seized 250 ton stolen wood from the possession of Noor Badshah, Ameer Nawab and Javed Khan during the checking of a truck. The wood had been stolen from the government forestry of Kala Chita mountainous and were being taken to NWFP, police said.

The police also recovered a stolen motorbike from the possession of Khurshid, a resident of Haripur near Faqirabad on the GT road. The vehicle was lifted from Karachi.
