3 people killed in clash

LANDI KOTAL, April 2: Three people, including a school-going boy, were killed, while at least 11 others were injured after supporters of Ansarul Islam and Lashkar-i-Islam clashed in two localities in the Arjali Nadi area in Bara tehsil on Monday.

The Lashkar men attacked the Ansar’s stronghold in Arjali Nadi, which was countered by the Ansar supporters, leading to a heavy exchange of fire between the two groups.

Sher Haider from the Ansar group and a young student, whose name could not be ascertained, were killed. Nine people, four belonging to the Lashkar and five of the Ansar, were injured in the clash.—Correspondent
