HYDERABAD, April 2: The Sindh Taraqqi-Pasand Party (STP) Chairman Dr Qadir Magsi announced his support for the April 3 protest call given by the Alliance FOR the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) and urged party workers to participate in the protest in large numbers.

A press release issued by the STP said that the ARD Sindh president Zain Ansari had talked to Dr Qadir Magsi on telephone and requested him for his support.

The release said that the STP had always supported democratic struggle for upholding the supremacy of parliament and independence of judiciary. Without an independent judiciary, the supremacy of constitution, dispensation of justice and democracy had no meaning, Mr Magsi said.
