KARACHI, April 2: Citizens celebrated the Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) with religious zeal and fervour in the city on Sunday. Various programmes and congregations were held across the city to observe the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). All important buildings, high-rise residential complexes in the city were illuminated on the eve of 12th Rabiul Awwal.

The day dawned with the recital of Holy Quraan special prayers in mosques for the solidarity of the country and Ummah.

Programmes of Milad and Naat Khuwani were held and processions were taken out to mark the day. Special prayers were offered for the martyrs of the last year’s Nishtar Pak blast.

The main congregation of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) was taken out from New Memon Masjid, Boulton Market after Zuhr. It was largely attended by people from all walks of life. Participants of the main congregation gathered at the Nishtar Park to hold the main congregation, which was addressed by Ulema and scholars.

Keeping in view the last year blast in Nishtar Park, extraordinary security arrangements were made.
