KARACHI, April 2: Four ships carrying containers crude oil and coal are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where 10 vessels, Pacific Pioneer to unload coal, Wan Hai-104, Aka Bhum, Corin Thaikos, Dimitris and Mol Asante with containers, Iron Butterfly and African Karoo with general cargo and Oriental Bouguet, tanker were berthed during the last two days.
Ten ships, Iran Hesabi, Oel Esteem, Oel Aishwaya, Calvin P. Titus, Dimitris, Bunga Kenari, Global Union, Malak-1 and Iron Butterfly departed on Monday, while Aka Bhum, African Pal, Pacific Pioneer, African Karoo, Iran Tabatabaei and Norasia Alps are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity was active as the total tonnage rose to 0.152m tons comprising 65,662 tons of export tonnage including 17,998 tons of clinker and 4,727 tons of rice and 86,400 tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Shalamar, Johar with crude oil, APL Shenzhen with containers and Noni with coal.
