LAHORE, March 21: Four members of a family, including three minor children, were killed in a roof collapse incident in Masti Gate near Chuna Mandi Chowk on Wednesday night.

Police said Aneela and her three children — Mehak, 10, Faran, 3, and Zeeshan, 5 — buried under the debris when the dilapidated roof of their mud house collapsed.

They were removed from the debris by the locals and the police and taken to Mayo Hospital where they died.

Hospital officials confirmed the deaths.

Road death: A 70-year-old man was run over by a speeding lorry outside the Ghulab Devi Hospital on Wednesday.

Nas1eerabad police said Bashir of Chungi Amar Sidhu was crossing the road when a truck hit him, leaving him dead instantly.

Robbery: Two robbers deprived a citizen of cash at his doorstep in Iqbal Town on Wednesday morning.

Police said Imtiaz was entering his Badar Block residence when two armed men snatched Rs300,000 in cash from him.

Two gun-toting men deprived Usman of Rs200,000, a cell phone and his motorcycle at Qila Lakshman Singh in the Ravi Road area.

Three armed men burst into a shop on Temple Road and fled after looting Rs36,000 and a cell phone.

Two robbers snatched Rs30,000, a purse and a cell phone from Mrs Tariq at her doorstep in Samanabad, while as many armed men deprived Tariq of Rs40,000 and a cell phone at Batti Chowk.

Two armed men snatched Rs20,000 and a cell phone from a citizen in Mustafabad.

Abid Irfan was deprived of Rs26,000 and a cell phone in Liaqatabad.

Two robbers snatched a motorcycle from a man in the Racecourse area.
