KARACHI, March 6: Two container ships were accommodated berths at QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.Berth occupancy was maintained at 60 per cent at the port where six ships, Nedlloye Africa and London, Denden, Taxi Archis, Ievoli Splendor and Calm Seas, were busy in loading and offloading containers, wheat, furnace oil, chemicals and coal.

Cargo handling was brisk at the wharves totalling 99,590 tons comprising 72,546 tons of import and 27,044 tons of export tonnage. Sailing was slow as only Taxi Archis left the port while Nedlloyed Africa and London were due to depart.
